How teams work

Lehigh Leagues teams are assigned after registration closes. Rosters are randomized while being balanced for roster requirements, availability, participation rules and general experience level. Registering does not guarantee placement with friends or on a particular team.

Teams are created through a randomized balancing process designed to keep rosters fair while accounting for participation requirements, general experience, availability and sport-specific positions. Team assignment is not based on popularity, social group, or who registers first.

FAQ

Do I register for a sport or a league?+

A league. League A teams compete in Street Hockey, Basketball, Soccer, Flag Football and Softball; League B teams in Volleyball, Pickleball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Tennis, Dodgeball, Kickball and Golf. You tell us your preference for each sport, and your captain/coach builds game-day lineups from the roster.

Can I pick my team or play with friends?+

No. Teams are assigned through a balanced, randomized Team Draw after registration closes. Friend requests are not available for Spring 2027.

Can I join both leagues?+

Yes. League A and League B run two independent draws — you might be Forge in League A and Atlas in League B. You'll rank your priority in case of unavoidable conflicts.

What if a league is full?+

You can join the permanent roster waitlist (offered a spot if one opens), the Emergency Substitute Pool (fill in when teams are short), or both.

Do I need to buy a jersey or gear?+

No. Lehigh Leagues provides league jerseys and sport equipment. Each sport lists exactly what we provide and what you bring (usually athletic shoes and clothes, plus a mouthguard for hockey).

How much does it cost?+

Any fees will be posted here before registration opens.

Who is eligible?+

Spring 2027 player registration is for currently enrolled Lehigh students. Verifying your lehigh.edu email confirms you control a campus address; league staff may confirm other eligibility rules.

How many games will I play?+

League A teams play about 2–3 events per week across five sports (22 regular-season games). League B teams play about 2 per week. Availability is handled game-by-game through RSVPs.
